Secondary DNS server isn't picking up changes

The SOA serial tells secondaries the zone changed. If it doesn't increment, they don't sync.

support/hosting-domeinen-dns/soa-serial-numbersteps: 4

Try this first

  1. Check current SOA with dig SOA yourdomain.nl
  2. Format is usually YYYYMMDDNN, auto-incremented by most hosts
  3. With a manual zonefile, bump serial yourself on every change
  4. Force NOTIFY or trigger zone transfer if secondary stays stale

When to bring us in

On hidden-master setups, master xfr logs reveal the cause.
