Moving DNS to a new host, how do I migrate 80 records?

A zonefile export gives you the full zone in BIND format, importable at most DNS hosts.

support/hosting-domeinen-dns/zonefile-export-migratiesteps: 4

Try this first

  1. Ask the old host for an export, often a 'zonefile export' button or API
  2. Cloudflare and Route53 both import BIND directly
  3. Verify per record type that everything moved
  4. Test on the new NS with dig before NS cutover

When to bring us in

No export button, ask support for the zonefile or dump records via dig AXFR.
