Want to move DNS management to Cloudflare, change NS records

NS records sit at the registrar, not in the zone itself. Switching them hands control to the new DNS host.

Try this first

  1. First rebuild the full zone at the new host (all records 1-to-1)
  2. Verify the zone is live, dig @ns1.cloudflare.com
  3. Then change NS records at the registrar
  4. Keep the old DNS host active as a safety net for a week

When to bring us in

Missing a record means that service breaks, hence 1-to-1 first.
