Just signed a business mobile contract, can I still cancel?

For consumers in NL there is usually a withdrawal period after a distance contract, but for sole traders and SMBs that is often excluded in business terms. Read the specific provider terms and the contract itself, some business plans have a trial period, others do not. Do not assume, check.

Try this first

  1. Pull the contract and general terms, search for 'herroeping' or 'opzegging tijdens proefperiode'.
  2. Call business support and ask specifically about your rights as a business customer, request mail confirmation.
  3. If no withdrawal period applies, look at early termination clauses (cost) and penalty calculation.
  4. Next time: explicitly ask before signing what trial period you get as a business customer and have it confirmed in writing.
