Gmail/Yahoo require 1-click unsubscribe as of February 2024

For senders above 5000 mails/day, Gmail and Yahoo require a working List-Unsubscribe-Post header per RFC 8058.

support/email-aflevering/rfc8058-1click-unsubscribesteps: 4

Try this first

  1. ESP setting: enable 1-click unsubscribe
  2. Header List-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click must be present
  3. Clicking unsubscribe in Gmail must process within 2 days
  4. Test with your own Gmail account before going wide

When to bring us in

If you don't comply, mail stops being delivered at Gmail/Yahoo, not just spam-filed.
