Hundreds of login attempts hitting /wp-login.php daily

Bots constantly try the default login URL. A few measures cut the noise.

Try this first

  1. Move the login URL via a plugin (WPS Hide Login or similar)
  2. Force 2FA for all admins and editors
  3. Set lockout: 5 failures, 15-minute ban
  4. Restrict login to office IP or behind VPN for extra paranoia

When to bring us in

Attacks continue after the move, source is a leaking plugin or existing user, security audit needed.
