Try this first
- Run vendor 'Data Overwrite' / 'HDD Erase' per NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 (Clear/Purge)
- For SSD or self-encrypting drives: Crypto-Erase is the modern norm, faster and more effective than overwrite
- Or physically remove and destroy HDD (NIST 800-88 Destroy)
- Archive certificate of destruction
