Payment terminal refuses transactions or shows time-mismatch errors.

PSP terminals rely on synced clocks for certificates and end-of-day batches. A few minutes of drift can already block transactions.

Try this first

  1. Check date and time on the terminal itself
  2. Power-cycle terminal and wait for network time sync
  3. Rule out router NTP block via firewall logs
  4. Close and reopen the end-of-day batch

When to bring us in

Drift keeps coming back: terminal may have a certificate or clock-battery issue, RMA through your PSP (CCV, Worldline, Adyen).
