- Ask the provider to confirm data-center location per service in writing
- Check the sub-processor list for backup, monitoring, CDN
- AWS, Azure, GCP have EU regions, pick eu-central or eu-west explicitly
- Cloudflare caches at edge worldwide, plan data path separately
